Shortcake was a dream come true for my son Matthew. She was his very first Oberhasli doe and is the love of his "goat life." She is a beautiful doe giving a wonderful credit to the animals in her pedigree and to those breeders who are responsible for those animals. I never had a doubt that she would follow in their footsteps. She consistently produces animals that carry her quality traits, while being even more exceptional in their conformation then herself.
This has really been Shortcake's year. She has been 2xGCH, 2xBOB, 1xRGCH, and 6x1st. We can't wait to see what is next for this beautiful girl! Shortcake's littermate sister Sundae, just appraised with a final permanent score at 91 EEEE

TutiFruti was long awaited by Matthew coming from his very first Oberhasli doe Shortcake, TutiFruti and her twin Chesecake were loved and admired by all of us, reversing their placings for 1st and 2nd constantly and even flip-flopping Junior and Reserve Junior Champions throughout the year in 2004. Unfortunately we lost Chesecake mysteriously in September 2004, but we are grateful to have TutiFruti who has met all of our expectations and then some. She was stricken with mastitis in 2006, but recovered nicely with very little scar tissue, although it will definitely affect her in the show ring. She shows great improvement over her dam, and was even the 1st place 3-year-old at the District 7 Oberhasli Specialty Show in Boise, Idaho in 2007.
After a very difficult recovery from her kidding with triplets in 2008, it's going to take until later in the season for TutiFruti to get back into proper show condition. That's okay though, we're just glad that she pulled through and pulled through with her normal grace and style.

Daquari is a fabulous doe who is a bit spastic. She was dam raised due to the fact that she was born within a month of our latest two-legged addition. While sometimes difficult to walk up to, she is calming down nicely with being milked twice a day. Once you have her in hand, she handles easily. She shows like a dream, and has two Junior Grand Champions, and one Reserve Grand Champion to her credit in 2007 at ADGA shows. One of those champions was reached at the 2007 District 7 Specialty show in Boise, Idaho. We were SOOO excited to see this doe freshen and join the ranks of her sister and mother. She has not disappointed us. As a first-freshening two-year-old, she has earned 2xRES GCH this year, behind her dam, Shortcake, both times.

Colada has been such a pleasure to have as our only Oberhasli doe kid this year. S he is so very beautiful and carries on all of the fantastic and consistent qualities that we have come to expect from our Oberhasli does. We believe that she has a VERY bright future ahead of her. She has already earned 3xRGCH, and 1xGCH awards in 2008! Way to go, Colada!!!
You can never miss her on a visit to our farm. She is a bit mischievous and makes herself very well known to all!

Spice is much smaller then our normal style of Oberhasli does, but we don't believe this is a genetic issue. We believe it was just a situation where a new person was not sure of their management style. We will be kidding her out for the first time in 2009.
