Grand-Grimoire Bocca Grande

02/16/2003      N1280705        LA:

Due:                  Bred to:  Kastdemur's Dhys

Bocca Grande is Italian for loud mouth, which is definitely an appropriate name for her, although she is quieting with age.  However, upon arrival at our farm she obtained the name Flash.  It fits her.  She is one flashy gal.  She is absolutely gorgeous!  In 2008, Flash has gone 4x1st, 2 x2, 1xRGCH, 2xGCH and 2xBOB, and 1xBUOB.  These were just at the ADGA Shows.  She achieved a Best Sr. Doe In Show at a couple of different youth shows as well.  We are just so proud of her.  She has replaced Vanilla and Lydia as Kassondra's Showmanship doe and together, the two of them make quite a pair.

Flash presented us with triplet doelings in 2008.  We are keeping our fingers crossed for a buck kid out of her in 2009 from her and Shayne.  We figure we are going to get some very original colors, or something plain-jane.

Thunder Ridge Doodle*Bug

05/02/2002      N1243691        LA:

Due:                  Bred to

Buck Kids:               Doe Kids:

Doodle Bug just didn't fit this doe as a name when we brought her home from Deedee Elliott's, and we already had one Doodle, so she earned her name by appearance.  As she matured, she "matured" in size as well.  To the point that she hasn't freshened in two-years, which is really unfortunate.  She is off visiting another place, but we are hopeful to receive two kids back in trade from her.  She is amazing and special thanks go out to Kim Williams for breeding such a fantastic animal!  We truly hope that we will be able to carry on her genetics.

Dreamhigh Arbor Mist

02/14/2005      N1336141        LA:

Arbor has been a doe that continually takes us  by surprise.  After having such high hopes for Bella, which were unfortunately unfounded, we were a little skeptical about putting such hopes into Arbor.  She was kept for Dakota, who of course loves Bella very much.  After Arbor's sister got pneumonia and died; it was obvious which one we would be keeping.

Arbor was a decent kid, about what we expected.  As a Dry Yearling, she looked very nice and did quite well at some smaller 4-H shows.  As a two-year-old, Arbor BLEW US AWAY!  She freshened with them most beautiful of mammary systems and is one of the easiest does to milk EVER.  Perfect teats; great skin and pliability; all made for a great package.  I would give her a personality transplant if I could (Lord, this goat is LOUD!) but, she is a very nice doe.

She has recently freshened as a three-year-old with more capacity and fantastic attachments.  She is working hard to maintain her home here at Dreamhigh.  She also gave us our first successful AI breeding of 2008 which unfortunately resulted in a single buck kid.

Update:  Arbor earned her first leg, going GCH at the ISDGA show under Sheila Nixon!

Sand-Bur-Kids RF I Got U Babe -- ON LEASE TO ANOTHER HERD

02/25/2006      N1367000        LA:

Due:                  Bred to:

Buck Kids:               Doe Kids:   $250

Babe was purchased at the auction held by the Treasure Valley Dairy Goat Association in 2006.  We had very high hopes for her, and were excited to once again own an animal bred by our former neighbor's and good friends, Pete & Debbie Patnode.

As you can plainly see, being cooperative is not in Babe's personality.  She has been shown many times and is even a young man's 4-H project, but she just does NOT enjoy being led around a show ring.  She has the most amazing udder and is soooo easy to milk.  She has perfectly delineated teats and wonderful pliability.  I

While numbers have to be cut somewhere, we have leased Babe out to another herd with the hopes of having two doelings returned from her over the next two years.  Please contact us if you are interested in them.  She will be bred to Shayne this fall.

Dreamhigh Bella Sera

04/06/2002      N1230181       LA:

Due:                  Bred to

Buck Kids:               Doe Kids:   2nd doeling $250

Bella Sera is a favorite of our niece, Dakota's.  Being her Showmanship doe has secured her a place here.  Dakota suffers from Autism and has develpoped a once-in-a-lifetime kind of relationship with Bella.  She simply rubs her chest from across the pasture and says, "Come Bella, Come" and Bella therefore goes wherever Dakota tells her.  Every child should have a goat like Bella.

Bella has produced some beautiful daughters, especially Arbor, pictured above.  Her pedigree shouts volumes, but it just didn't work out in her interest, although by the look of her daughters, she might have just let that GCH skip a generation!
