Due: Bred to:
Buck Kids: $400 Doe Kids: 2nd Doeling $400
Shimmer has had quite a life. Being born in Ohio as a kid, she was brought back to Washington by Susan Callahan of the Waiilatpu herd, and sold to Margo Piver as a yearling. She came to us as a 2 year old. As a almost 4 year old I sold her to a herd in Jerome, WA, and brought her back to our herd in early 2004 when she was almost 6 years old. Shimmer is now home to stay. She is a doe who is more beautiful the older she gets. She is long, tall, and dairy, with terrific feet and legs, and a wonderful udder! She was Colton's first Showmanship doe., and he continues to show does from this family. Shimmer and Colton are the same age. Shimmer has 2 GCH legs, and will probably never get the opportunity for her third leg as she has had some udder problems from mastitis.

Maizy is an incredibly large doe that blessed our herd from 2004 until 2008 when we sold her to Patricia Walker. We had the opportunity to add two lovely doe kids from her and needed to cut numbers, so Maizy needed to go. She showed extremely well for us, but was always just a bit short of going Grand Champion, but did go 1st and 2nd several times. This girls pedigree speaks volumes! Maizy is extremely tall and long with wonderful feet and legs especially for an eight-year-old doe.

Shania is a doe that we have admired for a long-time, back when Robyn Bishop and Kathy Larsen had her. She went back to Greta & Gary Meyer until she was 7 years old when we purchased her. She is a good and solid addition to our herd and we can't wait to see what she will contribute. She earns her keep in the milkroom and in the show ring. She has developed a very sweet attachment to one of our 4-H girls, and they are proving to be quite the team in the Showmanship arena as well.

Being the only daughter that Cocoa ever provided to our daughter Kassie, Vanilla was with us for a very long time, and still comes back to visit when her new owners go on vacation! While learning about some of the difficult choices of improving your herd and animal husbandry, Kassondra decided that keeping Vanilla's daughters and their daughters meant that Vanilla needed to move on. Vanilla is a pretty doe who has stood the test of time well, but never quite equalled up to either of her parents. She tends to be a bit posty in the rear legs, although she walks soundly, and up high on her pasterns, and has a lovely body. Her udder matured quite nicely as she turned 5 and 6. Vanilla did not produce any daughters until she was 5 years old, so we are just now seeing the mammary systems that she produces and they are quite beautiful!!! Her granddaughters are showing the dairyness, and height at the withers, with length of body that Vanilla lacks.

Shammer is an absolutely beautiful doe, but unfortunately had mastitis ruin her udder. You can see from her younger picture the potential that she had. She is one of Colton's favorite goats and was his Showmanship doe for awhile. She milks incredibly well and stands on just phenomenal feet and legs and puts all parts of the score card together. She also makes up some very nice group classes for us and does indeed help her mama carry on her tradition. Her daughters are just phenomenal!

Sheroo is an absolutely fabulous doe with one of the best mammary systems that we've ever seen and near perfect teats! She earned two Best Udder of Breed Awards at VERY large youth shows in 2007 as a first freshening two-year-old. Sheroo is a smaller framed doe, which is a little odd considering her pedigree. I am anxious to see if she will continue to grow, but don't think she is going to be the huge-style of doe that we were accustomed to from this family. Even with her lack of size, she continues to place ahead of much larger does in the show ring by putting all of the points on the scorecard together.

Danica is a beautifully bodied doe who was extremely precocious as a Dry Yearling. I believe that affected the texture to her udder. She has a beautiful Medial Suspensory and great udder support and milks incredibly well. We are curious to see how she will progress and have decided to retain her to giver her that chance. We have enough faith in her that we have kept a Jr. Herd Sire from her to use this fall.

Marshmallow was a late kid in 2006, born just 10 days after our own son. It was an easy choice to leave her as a Dry Yearling. She didn't get the chance to compete in any ADGA shows, but did extremely well at youth and 4-H shows that year. To our dismay, she recycled three times and we were beginning to think that she wouldn't be able to be bred. With consistent begging from Kassondra, we gave it one more shot at the end of February. Guess what? Marshmallow is due at the very end of July. She will be milked through the winter. We will let you know how she progresses! OH!! One other thing -- Marshmallow suffers from allergy and needs her daily dose of Benadryl in the spring and summer to keep her eyes from watering!

The moment I saw Loca, I had this gut instinct that she was going to be something special. I am still convinced that I am right. Unfortunately, the buck she was bred to did not settle many does this year, so unintentionally Loca was left a Dry Yearling for 2008. She has the size and stature of her mother, with the capacity of her Dad. I am SOOO excited to see what this girl will do. She showed extremely well in four rings with HUGE competition in May, placing 3rd 1x and 5th 3x out of classes of over 20 does! I cannot wait to see how this young lady does!

Donyella is a beautiful grey-frosted-sundgau doe. The camera didn't do anything funny, those are all little white hairs. She gets the frosted look that her Granddam, Athena, had in her colored spots. She is as nice a doe as her sister, Danica, except in a very different way. Donyella has exceptional dairy character and a beautiful little udder that milks down to nothing! She produced TWO amazing doelings who have both been retained. I do believe this young lady will be a doe to be reckoned with in the future!

Athena has been a favorite of Kassie's since the minute she was born. Being the second doeling that Vanilla had produced in five years, I'm sure you can imagine why. I never really thought of her as one of her top does, but she has freshened with a HUGE mammary system. Only freshening on June 14th, I believe that her mammary system will fill in through the fore as is consistent with her line with age. She is high and wide through the rear, and definitely has the dairy character from her sire's side, while maintaining the substance of her dam's. She is a flashy loudly spotted white and black doe with a sundgau front-end. Not a doe you can forget! She will help make up some group classes this year and will really get some exposure! Wish Kassie luck!

Being one of two doelings that Shimmer produced as an eight-year-old, I was very excited about Shampoo and her sister Shanditioner. While numbers forced us to get rid of one, I preferred Shanditioner's Chamoisee coloring, but being Colton's does, he got his pick and he loved Shampoo! She is a very pretty Dry Yearling, being very close in type and conformation to Shawna. I will be curious to see how she progresses.
